Take a long weekend to reconnect with nature and your true authentic self with this heart warming and soul nurturing yoga and meditation retreat.

The retreat will be held at Bala Brook Retreat Centre in Dartmoor, Devon. Situated within 35 acres of gardens, babbling brooks, woodland and fields there will be plenty of opportunity to walk, reflect and connect with nature and your souls wisdom. Over the long weekend we will take a journey together to find a deeper connection to your inner guru, and from a place of wisdom and kindness we will sow the seeds of compassion and loving kindness towards self and all others. Through the practice of Yoga, Meditation and Contemplation, one can embody more awareness, acceptance, love and peaceful presence in life. It is my intention to encourage an opening up to that possibility during the course of the weekend.

During the retreat, there will be morning hatha yoga and meditation classes to create somatic awareness and set the theme for the day. The evenings will include some restorative yoga, guided meditation and workshop style healing practices. There will be time to enjoy the tranquility of silence and to reflect on your hearts healing work, but also a wonderful opportunity to connect with like minded people in nurturing space.

  • 7:30-8 am Optional silent meditation sitting

  • 8 – 9:30 am Hatha Yoga & Pranayama

Bala Brook Retreat Centre

The Venue

Bala Brook Retreat Centre is situated in Dartmoor National Park and on the edge of the open moor. There are thirty five acres of delightful gardens, fields, mature oak trees and woodland adjoining the waterfalls of Bala Brook, which tumbles down to join the river Avon. There is a resident flock of Hebridean sheep. The bedrooms are clean and simple and there are light, airy communal areas, including a library with quiet seating area hosting books on Yoga, Buddhism, poetry, spiritual paths and the local area. There is a beautiful well equipped studio for yoga and meditation practices. All equipment is available, however it is always nice to bring your own mat if you have one.

Food

The food served at Bala Brook will be healthy, wholesome and vegetarian with seasonal produce that is organic and locally grown where possible. Meals will be lovingly prepared by the local chef, Polly. If you have any food allergies, do let us know beforehand.

Other activities

You can take in the scenery and connect with nature by enjoying stunning walks through the gardens or the moor; maps and walking routes are available at the centre. Alternatively, just sit back and relax into the peace and tranquility with a good book. There is WIFI available, however you are encouraged to take the opportunity to disconnect from technology and honour some well deserved YOU time.

Residential prices include accommodation, full board and tuition. The price excludes travel and transfers. Please arrange your own holiday insurance.

Reserve your place with a non-refundable deposit of £150, remaining balance payable 4 weeks prior to event. In the event of cancellation 60 days or more prior to the retreat the remaining balance will be refunded. Cancellations less than 60 days prior to the retreat payments are not refundable. By booking you agree to abide by our terms and conditions.
