Take your yoga and meditation practice a little deeper with an exploratory workshop to enhance your inner journey and understanding.
Join Kate & Kali for a beautiful and very special evening of alfresco Yin yoga and sound healing at a spectacular cliff top location.
We will begin by connecting with the elements through a beautiful guided meditation, and will continue to work with the base chakra and our energetic connection to earth throughout the session. When our base chakra is in balance, we tend to feel more secure and grounded, helping us to identify what is really important to us in our lives… and where we would like to be in our own personal worlds right now. Only from a strong foundation can we blossom into the beauty that is the essence of authenticity.
Kali will lead you through a series of yin yoga poses, interlacing pranayama and visualisation techniques to create depth to your practice. Kate will be offering wonderful and ancient healing sounds in a combination of ‘1 on 1’ treatments and short, yet deeply relaxing group sound baths to enhance your vibration and nurture the healing process. We’ll be bringing a big flask of chai and some delicious, healthy sweet treats, if you’d like to join us for a sundowner cuppa afterwards.
Dates: Friday 4th & 25th August 18:15 – 20:30 – BOTH SOLD OUT!!
Held at The Beached Lamb Cafe, Newquay 7 pm – 9 pm every 2 months on the new moon: Mon 21st August / Thur 19th October / Mon 18th December 2017
A new moon is a particularly potent time for starting new projects or making a fresh start or chapter in your life. Harnessing the energy of the new moon, we can let go of old habits or beliefs that no longer serve us and start manifesting our dreams into reality.
This session will include a guided meditation to cut the cords of what no longer serves us. We will then create and clear some personal affirmations to use in the month ahead to bring more positive energy in. The second part of the session will be used to create a wish list of what we would like more of in our lives and then a creative visualization guided meditation to start manifesting our dreams.
Cost: £10 – booking essential due to limited space
A day of silent meditation held at the beautiful Lime House Studio, North Cornwall on Sunday 8th October (Arrive 9:45 am) 10 am – 4 pm
Join us for a day of quiet contemplation, yin yoga and enriching meditation to take your practice to a deeper level. From 10 am until 3:30 pm we will observe mouna (silence) apart from instruction from the teacher. This provides an opportunity for you to completely tune into self for deep exploration into your inner world as we let go of external distractions and rest deeply in the stillness of the group energy.
The day will begin with a short introduction to the four foundations of mindfulness and guidance on how to incorporate them into your practice. We will then move through some yin yoga poses to open the hips for sitting. The sessions will be 30 minutes long; some guided, some silent and some walking meditations to connect with nature. A healthy lunch of hearty soup and salad will be served, followed by a delicious dessert. The day will end with chai and an opportunity to share your experiences. *Those without prior experience of meditation would not be best suited to this workshop.
What to bring:
- A meditation shawl or blanket (there are some blankets at the studio)
- A meditation cushion or stool if you have one (some mats, blocks & bolsters are available)
- Wet weather gear for the unpredictable English weather
- Warm comfortable clothes – layers and warm socks are a good idea

Held at the beautiful Lime House Studio, North Cornwall on Saturday 18th November 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Join Kali Green Yogini for a workshop to explore the theory, benefits and practical applications of three yogic breathing exercises to enhance well being.
As well as the many health benefits, the use of proper breathing can help you to connect more deeply with your state of being, thus enhancing your yoga or meditation practice. The workshop will cover techniques that you can use on a daily basis, or separately as needed, to bring about more peace and presence, release tension, transform negative energy and balance the mind.
What you will learn in this workshop:
- The physiology of breathing and how it effects the autonomic nervous system
- Yogic philosophy on energy systems (prana/vital force, nadis/streams, bandhas/locks)
- Understand how we can use breath work/pranayama as a tool to relax, uplift and balance
- Theory, practice and benefits of Ujjiya / victorious breath applied to the full yogic breath
- Theory, practice and benefits of uddiyana bandha kriya / energy sublimation
- Theory, practice and benefits of Nadi Shodhana / alternate nostril breath
- A short daily practice that you can implement right away with handouts for reference
*To practice uddiyana bandha you must have an empty stomach. A light lunch is recommended so you don’t feel uncomfortably full before class.
